30-1-21: The RWA AGM was held today as an online Zoom meeting. It was well attended and seemed appreciated. Two major things to come out were the RWA trying to raise money to fund club and coach help for race walking, and to try and provide a monthly forum where people can discuss race walking issues important to them.
Jan21: Apart from the mainland it is understood that both Guernsey and the Isle of Man are in lockdown again, so most physical racing has stopped, although some major events are scheduled on an invitation only basis.
Jan21: The RWA (Southern Area) is hoping to thoroughly survey the race walking situation in the South of England. It hopes to look at athletes, clubs, events, rules and attitudes. It also wants to determine if the RWA in South still has a valid role or would things be better coordinated nationally. A survey form is being prepared and will be distributed in due course.
